American Honda to Produce Sport Side x Side

Life is Better SxS

American Honda announced at the AIMExpo powersports trade show in Las Vegas that it plans to make a sport side x side. Honda has had plenty of new models of sporty motorcycles and automobiles in recent years, but we haven’t really seen a truly sporty side x side from Honda in a while.

But, coming this November, Honda will reveal a sport side x side. Honda said that the model name and specifications will be announced on November 27 in conjunction with the launch of an advertising campaign called “Life is Better SxS.”

Word on the street that the 2019 Side x Side will be called a Talon and here’s a photo of what it will probably look like:

Honda entered the side-by-side category in 2009 with the utility-focused Big Red, and current models include the Pioneer 500, Pioneer 700 and Pioneer 1000. Or perhaps we should say Honda is re-entering the side x side category, as Honda was one of early makers of what we recognize today as a side x side.

Honda Odyssey and Pilot

As early as 1976, Honda had a four-wheeled two-stroke 248cc machine called the Odyssey, a sort of dune buggy crossed with a go-kart.

By 1989, the Odyssey had evolved and was renamed the Honda Pilot.
