Honda put its decades-long racing DNA into the Honda Talon. The new side x side has a 999cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that is the same Unicam design as Honda’s championship-winning motocrossers.
It also has a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission, and, since there is no belt, there’s no power lost from belt slippage. Driveline friction has been minimized, so you get a higher percentage of engine power directed straight to the ground. That’s what Honda’s decades-long racing DNA gets you.
