The new 2018 Lineup of Can-Am Maverick X3 UTVs has been announced. The biggest news for Maverick X3 2018 models is that some will have a lower horsepower engine.
Aimed at dune and wide-open desert riding, the Maverick X3 family comes in a choice of eight models. The new Mavericks have Fox shocks, TTX rear suspension, and are still powered by the turbocharged Rotax engine.
What surprised many is Can-Am released a lower-horsepower Maverick X3, measuring 120 horsepower. The 120-hp base model Maverick, in a two- or four-seat version, is more affordable, with an MSRP of $19,999.
The Maverick X3s are also available with a 172-horsepower engine, and Can-Am claims that they can launch from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

In the late 1990s, Can-Am designers and engineers were the first to equip ATVs with the TTI rear suspension, and, in 2002, they were also the first to offer a manufacturer-approved ATV for two people. In combining maximum power, handling, and traction, Can-Am ATVs are the choice of enthusiasts and professionals – who drive them right to the podium. With Can-Am ATVs, side-by-side vehicles, and roadsters, BRP is carrying on a long tradition of conquests. More than 30 years ago, the world discovered the Can-Am brand through revolutionary motocross bikes. BRP has since withdrawn from that market, but the Can-Am legend and winning spirit live on – with passion and exhilaration.
